We have been using The Canine Parlor since our dog was a tiny puppy and needed two walks a day, and Lumie has been absolutely incredible. It is obvious that she has a genuine passion for dogs and treats every walk as an opportunity to build a relationship, provide enrichment, and reinforce training.
What sets Lumie apart is how well she knows each dog as an individual. She understands our dog’s personality, preferences, and needs so well, and our dog absolutely adores her. Beyond being a fantastic dog walker, Lumie is incredibly reliable, communicative, and attentive. She always leaves detailed updates, shares the cutest photos, and never hesitates to reach out if she notices something that seems off so we can stay informed.
Over time, she has become someone we completely trust and depend on. We have used other dog walkers in the past, but Lumie is truly in a league of her own. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog as if they were her own, I cannot recommend Lumie and The Canine Parlor enough.

Terms of Booking
Payment Policy All standard services must be paid in full prior to service. For walk packages and extended bookings, a 40% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot, with the remaining balance due 48 hours before your first scheduled service. Services will not begin until payment is received in full. Same-day bookings are subject to a $10 last-minute booking fee.
Cancellation Policy Dog Walking & Drop-Ins: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service are non-refundable.
Boarding & Daycare: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start date will result in 30% of the total booking being retained. Same-day bookings are subject to a $10 last-minute booking fee.
No-Shows: If a service is not cancelled and the client does not respond or is unreachable at the time of service, the full booking amount is non-refundable.
Holiday & Peak Pricing Due to increased demand, a flat $10 holiday rate applies to all services during peak periods.
Major Holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's): Peak pricing applies from 4 days before through 4 days after the holiday.
Standard Holidays (Memorial Day, Mother's Day & Father's Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Columbus/Indigenous People's Day, Veteran's Day): Peak pricing applies the day before through the day after the holiday or associated weekend, i.e. Friday to Monday.
Service Window While specific times may be requested, all services are scheduled within a two-hour arrival window. We will always do our best to honor your preferred time but cannot guarantee exact arrival.
Weather & Safety We reserve the right to modify, shorten, reschedule, or cancel services if weather or environmental conditions are deemed unsafe. Any service cancelled by us for safety reasons will be rescheduled or credited toward a future service.
Media Release By booking with The Canine Parlor, you agree that photos and videos taken during services may be used for social media, marketing, and website content. You may opt out at any time by submitting a written request.
